Action 100 Bike Ride
ETC's Simon Elliott has been pedalling for polio power! Amongst its very worthy remit, the charity 'Action Medical Research' plays a crucial role in developing polio vaccine in the UK and ETC's Simon, in recent years, has done his bit on the bike in order to aid the cause! 600 riders took part this year in the 100-mile ride from Bath to London following the old coach road (present day A4) through Marlborough, Newbury, Theale, Windsor Great Park & Ascot, finishing in Chobham.
Not content with going 'round in cirlces' doing his day job - our ScaleWatcherEnigma water treatment units are neatly coiled around the pipes they are treating - Simon undertook approx. 88,000 pedal revolutions on the day, though taking an unplanned 7 mile detour (the bike doesn't come with satellite navigation!) may have extended this average!

As Simon reported after the event, "a fantastic day out was had by all" secure in the knowledge that "a pint of beer at the Finish Line had never tasted so good". Well done Simon!
